Ice Cream Chocolate Sauce


2 tablespoons cocoa

2 tablespoons Water.

1 tablespoon golden syrup.

1 1/2 tablespoons sugar.

1 tablespoon butter.

1/2 teaspoon vanilla.

2 teaspoons cornflour

Place all the sauce ingredients in a small pot and melt in a pot on a low to medium heat until combined, stirring all the time.  Once it starts to simmer – keep stirring until it thickens to a thick pouring consistency (about a minute).

Let cool to at least room temperature while you sort out the rest of the ingredients -if you need to, chill it in the fridge - you want a spoon-able consistency,

(We make this sauce without the cornflour for pouring over waffles, ice cream, cake or brownie, warm cookies (with ice cream or cream) – its thinner without the cornflour but really good).
